Learn how to easily add text to graphics using Canva in my how-to video tutorial and create graphics to rock your social media content

I am excited to announce I have posted my first video, how to add text to graphics, in my new YouTube channel. If you have ever wanted to create your own social media content, but just didn’t know how, then be sure to watch the video below. I show you how in step-by-step instructions, using the free design software, Canva.

Once you master this skill (and don’t worry – it is really easy once you know how) you will be able to add your own messaging or quotes to graphics to suit your needs. I also teach you how to change the colour of the text to keep in line with your branding. That will help you to create a fine looking feed that will speak volumes to your customers by looking very professional.

In this video I will show you how to:

  • Open a template in Canva
  • Upload a graphic from your files
  • Resize a graphic
  • Add text to graphics
  • Customise text and change the text size
  • Change fonts
  • Alter the alignment of the text
  • Change the colour of your text
  • Add your brand colours

If you haven’t used Canva before, it is a fantastic design tool for what could best be described as “non-designers”. That is to say if you don’t have any formal graphic design training, but are creating your own social media graphics, then this is a game changer. And there’s is a free version you can get started with. You can go to this link to sign up and get started. https://www.canva.com

I hope my design tutorial will help get you started. And if you are new to Canva, that it helps you feel more confident to create your own social media posts for your small business.
